Shanna was tired of meeting guys online who were lying about their height (saying they were 6'0" and really 5'10" etc.) Shanna also felt that as a divorced woman, some men were intimidated/turned off by that, so she searched for a guy who listed himself as divorced and his height as 6'3" figuring that if the guy was overshooting his height a little, he'd still be tall enough for her to wear heels. When she did that search, there were ten divorced guys, 6'3" and taller that popped up. She was immediately drawn to Jim's profile because there was a picture of him and a bicycle. Be still her beating heart. She wrote him, and he responded.
First they exchanged some emails and then they talked on the phone for about an hour before deciding to meet for dinner. They met on a Monday, in a week when Shanna had dates lined up every night the rest of the week. Apparently that was an anomaly, but the competition was tough!
When Jim (aka Mr. Monday) dropped Shanna off at the end of the very good date, they made out like high school kids in the car, steaming up the windows on a busy street in San Francisco. Whether it was because of the great kissing, or the great dinner conversation, Jim immediately asked Shanna out for Friday.
Since that night, the two have been inseparable. Eight months later, almost to the day, Jim and Shanna got engaged, and then married two months after that in Las Vegas. Classy Las Vegas, Elvis was nowhere in sight!
